An integrative physician is a licensed medical doctor who has completed all the appropriate medical training, but has chosen to “integrate” more natural and holistic forms of medicine into their practice.

At Freeland Pediatrics, we consider all factors that influence health and use the most natural interventions possible. We are committed to critical thinking and continue to follow the most up to date science in regards to conventional and alternative medicine. Integrative pediatric

practices should strive to identify the root cause of illness and encourage family partnership in the healing process.

Root Cause Medicine

At Freeland Pediatrics, our goal is to identify the root cause of each child's health concerns, whether they have food sensitivities/allergies, neurobehavioral concerns, imbalances in the gut, toxic environmental exposures, nutritional deficiencies, genetic factors or socio-emotional stressors.

We know that each child's manifestation of wellness or illness is caused by the unique way in which their individual biochemical and genetic makeup interacts with everything that they are exposed to on a daily basis - from the food they eat, to the air they breathe, to the water they drink, to the environmental pollutants and toxins they absorb, to the thoughts they think.

Respectful Family Partnership

Respectful Family Partnership

We know that parents are a child’s biggest advocate and we respect each family’s desire to choose what they believe is best for their children. We believe in educating patients and families to promote healthy lifestyles and unnecessary medication use, and will never coerce or bully parents into doing something they are uncomfortable with.

Unfortunately, most medical offices are too overbooked to take the necessary time to develop a personalized plan of care for each patient. We strive to give each patient the time they deserve so that we can provide the best medical care possible!

What We Offer.

Wellness Exams

At Freeland Pediatrics, wellness exams are an important time to discuss everything that impacts your child‘s health - from diet, to sleep, to behavior, to growth and development. We believe in preventing illness instead of simply treating symptoms when they appear.

We are happy to fill out back to school immunization & physical forms, as well as sports physicals. At this time, we are unable to give medical exemptions for vaccines. We start seeing infants from birth and can continue seeing patients until age 21.

Sick Visits

Unfortunately, all kids get sick from time to time. Our goal at Freeland Pediatrics is to teach families how to support their child’s immune system, minimize symptoms naturally and educate parents on when medications or other tests are truly necessary. We do not attempt to cure every symptom or give parents false hope that medications will fix temporary symptoms. We do offer in-office strep, RSV and Flu testing and can also send full viral panels to the lab. We also offer home visits if our schedule permits, based on your family's location!

Functional Medicine Assessments

Chronic medical disease is on the rise in children. We believe in getting to the root cause of inflammation instead of masking symptoms with unnecessary and possibly harmful medications. Ask us how we can help your child with chronic allergies/asthma, recurrent illness, eczema, behavioral issues, mental health concerns and others.

We offer extensive functional medicine testing including panels for stool pathogens, mycotoxins, heavy metals, food allergy and sensitivity, neurotransmitters, micronutrient panels and even genetic testing.

After Hours Televisit Membership

We are excited to now be able to offer an optional  After Hours Membership program. While office hours are  Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, we understand that concerns may happen outside of those hours.  For families who opt for the After Hours Membership, one of our holistic practitioners will be available every evening from 5 PM to 10 PM and every weekend and holiday from 8 AM to 10 PM. This offer is only available for those who sign up for the membership, so ask us about it today! Please understand that should you opt OUT of the membership, you will likely be unable to obtain a telehealth visit after regular office hours.
