An integrative physician is a licensed medical doctor who has completed all the appropriate medical training, but has chosen to “integrate” more natural and holistic forms of medicine into their practice.
At Freeland Pediatrics, we consider all factors that influence health and use the most natural interventions possible. We are committed to critical thinking and continue to follow the most up to date science in regards to conventional and alternative medicine. Integrative pediatric
practices should strive to identify the root cause of illness and encourage family partnership in the healing process.
At Freeland Pediatrics, our goal is to identify the root cause of each child's health concerns, whether they have food sensitivities/allergies, neurobehavioral concerns, imbalances in the gut, toxic environmental exposures, nutritional deficiencies, genetic factors or socio-emotional stressors.

We know that each child's manifestation of wellness or illness is caused by the unique way in which their individual biochemical and genetic makeup interacts with everything that they are exposed to on a daily basis - from the food they eat, to the air they breathe, to the water they drink, to the environmental pollutants and toxins they absorb, to the thoughts they think.
We know that parents are a child’s biggest advocate and we respect each family’s desire to choose what they believe is best for their children. We believe in educating patients and families to promote healthy lifestyles and unnecessary medication use, and will never coerce or bully parents into doing something they are uncomfortable with.
Unfortunately, most medical offices are too overbooked to take the necessary time to develop a personalized plan of care for each patient. We strive to give each patient the time they deserve so that we can provide the best medical care possible!
At Freeland Pediatrics, wellness exams are an important time to discuss everything that impacts your child‘s health - from diet, to sleep, to behavior, to growth and development. We believe in preventing illness instead of simply treating symptoms when they appear.
We are happy to fill out back to school immunization & physical forms, as well as sports physicals. At this time, we are unable to give medical exemptions for vaccines.
Unfortunately, all kids get sick from time to time. Our goal at Freeland Pediatrics is to teach families how to support their child’s immune system, minimize symptoms naturally and educate parents on when medications or other test are truly necessary. We do not attempt to cure every symptom or give parents false hope that medications will cure a temporary symptoms. We do offer strep testing but do not test for viral illnesses as it doesn't change the way we care for the child.
Chronic medical disease is on the rise in children. We believe in getting to the root cause of inflammation instead of masking symptoms with unnecessary and possibly harmful medications. Ask us how we can help your child with chronic allergies/asthma, recurrent illness, eczema, behavioral issues, mental health concerns and others.
We offer extensive functional medicine testing including panels for stool pathogens, mycotoxins, IgG food allergy sensitivity, micronutrient panels and even genetic testing
